The Florida Gators picked up their nineteenth straight home victory with a 73-65 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday afternoon. The Gators held a small three-point lead at halftime, but were able to hold on with tough defense and some key baskets to beat to Commodores.

Despite Jeffrey Taylor's 25 points outing, the Commodores just couldn't keep up with the Gators offense. Vandy guard John Jenkins also added 15 points. Kenny Boynton lead the Gators scoring with 18 points, hitting on three of his seven three-point shots. Bradley Beal also picked up another 16 points with 7 rebounds while Erving Walker picked up 11 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Vanderbilt Vs. Florida Score Update: Gators Hold 37-34 Lead At Halftime

The Florida Gators welcomed in the Vanderbilt Commodores to the Stephen O'Connell Center in Gainesville as the Gators try to pick up their nineteenth win in a row at home. The Commodores struggled early with the Gators full court press defense, but were able to battle back and keep the game close to trail by just three points at the half.

For the Gators, guard Kenny Boynton leads the way in scoring picking up 11 points in the first half. Back up guard Mike Rosario was also able to add 10 points off the bench for the Gators. Both teams are shooting very well however as the Gators have hit on 46.7 percent of their three-point shots so far in the game while Vandy has hit on 33.3 percent of their.

Vanderbilt Vs. Florida: Gators Look For Nineteenth Straight Win At Home

The No. 12 Florida Gators (18-4, 6-1 SEC) host the No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores (16-6, 5-2) Saturday afternoon, with Billy Donovan's club looking to win their seventh straight and nineteenth in a row at home.

Florida is coming off a 74-66 win over South Carolina on Thursday. Vanderbilt has not played since Tuesday, when they fell 82-74 to Arkansas.

The Gators and Commodores are similar offensive clubs. Florida is first in the league in scoring (80.4 points points per game) and second in field goal percentage (47.6 percent). Vanderbilt, on the other hand, is third in both scoring (74.6 ppg) and field goal shooting (46.9 percent).

This will be the 123rd meeting between the two schools, with Vanderbilt holding a slim 63-59 series advantage. Florida is 12-3 against Vanderbilt at home under head coach Billy Donovan.
