Florida Vs. Kentucky Recap: Big Blue Blows Out Gators At Rupp Arena

The No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats were simply too much for the Florida on Tuesday night as they snapped a seven-game SEC winning streak for the Gators. Freshman Anthony Davis, projected as the top pick in the draft, was a monster for the Wildcats on both ends of the floor. Davis finished with four blocks, while adding 16 points and six boards. Sophomore Doron Lamb led Kentucky with 18, hitting four of five from downtown as the Cats raced out to a comfortable 78-58 win.

The Gators live and die by the three, and they shot just 22 percent from the behind the arc at Rupp. Brad Beal and Erving Walker were just 1 of 11, while Kenny Boynton led Florida with 18. Beal had come out of mid-season slump recently and had dominated for the Gators in their past two games. But the poor shooting from deep and Kentucky's size on the glass overwhelmed Florida, which now looks to avenge their only other SEC lost on Saturday when they host Tennessee.
