Florida Gators linebacker Jelani Jenkins will be out four weeks after thumb surgery. Jenkins' thumb was injured in the first half of Florida's 20-17 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies.
Fellow linebacker Jon Bostic said that there are linebackers that could fill the void left by Jenkins.
Antonio (Morrison), Mike Taylor, even (Darrin) Kitchens can move inside. We've got some depth at the linebacker position where a lot of guys can play all the positions
Jenkins recorded 75 tackles, six for loss, two sacks and a 75-yard interception return for a touchdown in 2011. In addition to Jenkins, cornerback Cody Riggs will miss around the same amount of time while recovering from a fractured foot.
