The Week 9 USA Today Coaches Poll has been released, and after Oklahoma's loss to Texas Tech in the early morning hours Sunday, the LSU Tigers are the new No. 1 team in the country. The Alabama Crimson Tide come in ranked No. 2, and those two SEC powers meet in early November in Tuscaloosa, with the winner likely to be crowned BCS National Champion the second week of January 2012.
Arkansas, South Carolina and Georgia all find their way into this week's rankings, giving the SEC five schools in the Top 25. The ACC is represented by No. 6 Clemson and No. 15 Virginia Tech, while the Big East also has two teams ranked, No. 23 Cincinnati and No. 24 West Virginia.
Texas Tech, on the strength of their upset win over the Sooners, jumps into the rankings at No. 22. Michigan State's miracle win over Wisconsin bumped the Spartans to No. 10 in this week's poll, one spot above, you guessed it, the Badgers.
