Odds Heavily Favor Seminoles

The Florida St. Seminoles (5-3, 2-2) visit the Boston College Eagles (2-6, 1-4) on Thursday evening, aiming to pick up their fourth consecutive win and continue their climb in the ACC ranks.

As one might expect, given the records of the teams involved, FSU is the heavy favorite: according to SB Nation partner OddsShark, oddsmakers favored the Seminoles by 16 points when betting opened, despite the fact that they'll be playing in the cold on just four days' rest. The line has shrunk in the days since, but not by much: all outlets favor Florida State by at least two touchdowns.

One of the Eagles' two wins came against the non-major Massachusetts Minutemen. However, they can pick up their first winning streak of the season if they upset Florida State on Thursday, as they dispatched the Maryland Terrapins, 28-17, in their last outing.

When these two teams met last season, the then No.-16 'Noles came from behind to defeat Boston College. Bert Reed's 42-yard touchdown dash put FSU ahead, 24-19, with 10:50 remaining in the game, and FSU's defense kept Boston College off the scoreboard the rest of the way. The Seminoles' all-time record against the Eagles is 5-4.
