Miami Vs. Florida State: Hurricanes Face Seminoles In Critical Conference Battle

The Miami Hurricanes (15-7, 6-3) look to continue their recent winning ways when they travel to Tallahassee Saturday to take on conference and in-state rival Florida State (16-7, 7-2).

Feb 11, 2012 - The Miami Hurricanes (15-7, 6-3) look to continue their recent winning ways when they travel to Tallahassee Saturday to take on conference and in-state rival Florida State (16-7, 7-2). Miami is looking to snap a five-game losing streak to the Seminoles.

The Hurricanes shocked Duke on Super Bowl Sunday, winning at Cameron Indoor Stadium 78-74. Jim Larranaga's team followed up that victory with a 65-49 defeat of Virginia Tech on Thursday to climb within one game of the conference lead.

Florida State lost a stunner this week, falling to conference cellar dweller Boston College 64-60, snapping a seven-game winning streak in the process. With the loss, the Seminoles dropped into a first-place tie with Duke and North Carolina in the ACC.

Florida State has won 10 of the last 11 matchups between the two schools. 10 of the last 12 games have been decided by eight points or less.
