Florida State 2012 Spring Game: Noles Defense Looks Dominant

The Florida State Seminoles were able to get through their 2012 Garnett and Gold game without any injuries and some nice showings by some offensive players. Quarterback E.J. Manuel had a solid day throwing the ball and didn't run out of the pocket much, but did struggle at times with the middle of the field.

Back up quarterback Clint Trickett continued to show he's capable of running the Noles offense if necessary and running back James Wilder Jr. showed the ability to catch the football out of the backfield and make some plays. Tight end Nick O'Leary capped off a nice spring practice with a good showing in the game making a handful of nice catches, showing he can be a potential weapon for the Noles offense this fall.

Despite being without some key defensive starters like Xavier Rhodes and Bjoern Werner, the Noles defensive unit was still dominant, particularly on the defensive line. Junior defensive end Tank Carradine dominated tackle Bobby Hart, who had a rough day during the game.

Florida State Seminoles Garnet and Gold Spring Game: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The Florida State Seminoles and head coach Jimbo Fisher will wrap up the spring practice period on Saturday with the annual Garnet and Gold Game at Doak Campbell Stadium.
