E.J. Manuel Injury: FSU QB Ankle Not Serious

Florida St. Seminoles quarterback E.J. Manuel isn't seriously injured, according to head coach Jimbo Fisher. Manuel reportedly rolled his ankle on Wednesday and wasn't able to participate in Thursday's scrimmage as he was held out for precautionary reasons.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound redshirt senior was injured when defensive end Cornellius "Tank" Carradine rolled over on him during Wednesday's practice. Fisher said he felt that if Manuel had to play, he could, and that the quarterback should be back on the field in a few days.

Manuel is no stranger to injury. In 2011, he suffered a separated shoulder at a broken leg. He still finished the year strong from a statistical perspective, he racked up 2,666 yards passing with 18 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, completing 65.3 percent of his passes.
