Florida State opens its 2012 season against Murray State.

The Florida State Seminoles open up a season of high expectations against the Murray State Racers on Saturday. But this matchup does not figure to say much about FSU's prospects on the national level, as the Seminoles shouldn't get much of a challenge from the Racers.

Murray State is coming off a 7-4 season that saw the Racers put up big passing numbers in the Football Championship Subdivision. The Seminoles, who went 9-4 in 2011, built a successful season around a stout defense, and that is expected to be a major strength in 2012 as well.

Game Date & Time: Saturday, Sept. 1, 6:00 p.m. ET
