After opening the season with a loss, Florida State has won three games in a row.
Terrance Shannon had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Florida State to a 73-66 win over Saint Joseph's in the championship game of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Barclays Center.
Notre Dame beat Brigham Young 78-68 in the third-place game.
Kore White scored 15 points to lead South Florida to a 68-50 win over Loyola (IL). South Florida improved to 2-1 on the season with the victory.
Florida International fell to 0-2 on the season after a 69-60 loss to Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. Florida International fell behind 40-24 at half and were unable to come back in the final 20 minutes. Tymell Murphy led Florida International with 17 points.
Florida Atlanta led 33-8 at half time and held on to beat Coppin State, 64-61, for their first win of the season. Florida Atlantic was outscored 53-31 in the second half. Stefan Moody led the team with 19 points off the bench.
