The Seminoles are the defending champions of the ACC, but they lost at home for the second time this season.
Minnesota 77, Florida State 68
The Seminoles went down big in the first half and could not claw their way back, despite a second-half comeback. Terrance Shannon led the charge for Florida State with 14 points and 11 rebounds. With the loss, Florida State fell to 4-2. The Golden Gophers were the first ranked opponent that the Seminoles have faced all season. No. 21 Minnesota, meanwhile, continued to prove itself as a legitimate contender. The win on Tuesday moved the Gophers to 7-1, and their only loss came against No. 2 Duke. Joe Coleman led Minnesota with 16 points and six rebounds on Tuesday.
North Florida 71, Bethune-Cookman 65
The struggling North Florida Ospreys picked up a much-needed win on Tuesday night, snapping a four-game losing streak. Senior guard Parker Smith picked up 22 points and five rebounds for the Ospreys, draining 6 of 9 three-point attempts. Junior forward Adrien Coleman played well for the Wildcats, despite the loss. He finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
