Oddsmakers expect Florida State to beat Northern Illinois in the 2013 Orange Bowl by double digits.

The Seminoles got out and ran against Maine in a blowout win on Sunday, a potential sign of things to come.

Northern Illinois, the BCS busting surprise of the 2012 college football season, has sold roughly 5,500 tickets to the Orange Bowl, while Florida State has sold just 4,000.

Florida State has eight trips to the Orange Bowl in school history, but it hasn't always been a joyous occasion. The school lost their first two trips to the bowl, both against Oklahoma, and they haven't won there since 1996.

The Florida State Seminoles have scheduled a game against the Idaho Vandals for the 2013 football season. It'll be the first time in program history that these two teams have met.

Florida St. Seminoles running backs coach Eddie Gran is expected to leave the Seminoles' coaching staff. The coach was known as a great recruiter in the South Florida area for the Seminoles.

Despite the fact that the Orange Bowl is held in Florida, Northern Illinois has distributed more tickets so far than Florida State has.

Florida State's recruiting efforts could be boosted by their appearance in the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day, their second game in Miami this season.

The Florida State Seminoles will be able to showcase themselves in front of the talented prep players in South Florida when they head to Miami for the 2013 Orange Bowl.
