After two rounds at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, Charlie Beljan sits alone at the top of the leaderboard. Beljan suffered health issues as the round progressed, needing to stop and rest several times, and after concluding his round, he was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital.

The 28-year-old rookie was suffering from an elevated heart rate and shortness of breath and first requested medical attention at the practice tee. Beljan put on an incredible performance, playing through fear and physical limitations, even dropping to his knees after several shots. Despite all of that, he posted a score of 8-under for the round, tied for the best of the day.

Behind Beljan is a seven-way tie for second. Ryuji Imada, Harris English, Matt Jones, Charlie Wi, Charles Howell III, Mark Anderson and Henrik Stenson are all tied at 9-under. Wi opened the day in first, but an up-and-down day of four bogies and five birdies saw him slip to second.

Davis Love III, who had been mentioned as a favorite going into the tournament, recovered from his Round 1 73 with a 68. That left him at 3-under overall, good for a tie for 42nd place. For a complete CMNH Classic leaderboard, check out Golf.com.
