Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew injured his foot in Sunday's game and was seen returning to the sideline from the locker room on crutches.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew was carted off the field on the first offensive series of the game and was seen returning to the sidelines on crutches and wearing a walking boot. There is no official word on the diagnosis, but it appears to be an injured left foot.

Jones-Drew played just two downs before suffering his injury. He had his foot re-taped on the sideline before heading back to the locker room.

It's obviously a big injury for the Jags because MJD is their best player, and not only that, but starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert was also injured early in the game, leaving Jacksonville without the main pieces to its backfield.

Jones-Drew leads the Jaguars with 408 yards rushing, despite missing the team's offseason workouts and training camp due to a contract holdout. Gabbert has struggled, completing just 80 of his 146 passes attempted for 796 yards this season.
