Maybe I've lost my pulse of the area since moving away a few years ago, but did anyone else feel like the Jacksonville Jaguars sale was kind of sudden?

I mean, we all knew the franchise was struggling and that eventually something had to give -- either a new owner or a new locale -- but I swear, this kind of felt like Wayne Weaver just ambled down to the parking lot and offered it to the first taker (not to rag on Shahid Khan).

I mean, when the Houston Astros were in the sale process, it seemed like months of candidate searches and vetting, and I couldn't escape the most mundane updates -- and I'm not even an Astros fan! How did I even encounter that news?!

Maybe I'm just out of the loop. And in some other, weird quasi-Texas loop.
