Paul Posluszny Injury: Jacksonville Jaguars Linebacker Has Surgery, Is Expected To Return For Training Camp, According To Report

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny partially tore the labrum in his left shoulder during the Jags' season-ending victory against the Indianapolis Colts, but as Tania Ganguli reports, the five-year veteran is on the mend. Citing sources, Ganguli says Posluszny underwent surgery to fix the injury sometime "this month." He is expected to be out of action until training camp, Ganguli says, as he recovers from the surgery.

Posluszny, who signed with Jacksonville as a free agent prior to the 2011 season, led the team with 119 tackles (69 solo). In addition, the former Penn State standout made two sacks, recorded two interceptions, forced two fumbles, and broke up nine passes.

Posluszny anchored a Jaguars defense that was stronger than the team's 5-11 record might indicate: Jacksonville ranked No. 6 in yards allowed in No. 11 in points allowed.
