Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton sustained an eye injury on Sunday morning. The injury was severe enough to necessitate emergency surgery.
The Jacksonville Jaguars received some surprising news on early Sunday morning, as defensive tackle Terrance Knighton sustained an eye injury in an accident that necessitated emergency surgery.
Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country reports that Knighton was allegedly hit in the eye with a bottle at the Pure nightclub in Jacksonville early Sunday morning. The Jaguars have released the following statement:
Terrance Knighton was involved in an incident early Sunday morning in which he sustained an eye injury. He has undergone surgery at Baptist Medical Center and is recovering. We are in the process of gathering information about what happened and are not able to further comment at this time. Our concern and our focus is on Terrance and his health and recovery.
No further details as to the nature of the injury or extent of rehabilitation time are currently available.
