Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton had emergency surgery on his eye earlier on Sunday related to an incident that occurred at Pure nightclub in the south side of Jacksonville early Sunday morning. The extent of the injury and what exactly the injury was at this time is unknown, but Knighton has finished up with surgery and has been released to his home.

The effect of Knighton's injury on his 2012 NFL season likely won't be known until after his doctor's appointment tomorrow, if even then. There is some concern that the injury could force Knighton to miss the 2012 season, a contract year for the fourth-year defensive tackle.
