Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon joined General Manager Gene Smith and head coach Mike Mularkey at a press conference on Wednesday, where he publicly apologized for his aggravated DUI arrest in Stillwater, Okla. on Sunday. In addition to that, the No. 5 overall draft pick vowed off drinking, at least for the time being.
Blackmon says he's done with drinking "for right now." Says he can't promise 10 years down the road, that won't change

Both Smith and Mularkey admonished Blackmon's actions at the press conference, but also were very upfront in saying that he has an opportunity to turn things around and be a better person because of this. Smith, who spearheaded the decision to draft Blackmon at No. 5, talked about how they felt about Blackmon when learning about his previous arrest in 2010.
Smith says "he has the chance to correct this. We felt his pattern after college was an isolated incident."

Mularkey said after the press conference that Blackmon will participate in the Jaguars Caravan this weekend. Blackmon does have an opportunity to begin repairing his image, so here's hoping that he succeeds.
