While the main story out of the beginning of the Jacksonville Jaguars 2012 Training Camp, has been Maurice Jones-Drew, another nugget has surfaced about a lower profile player leaving camp.
According to John Oesher of Jaguars.com, fullback Naufahu Tahi is leaving the team for "personal, family reasons." Oesher was told the news by head coach Mike Mularkey who did not hint at how long Tahi will be gone from the team.
Tahi, 30, is a five year veteran of the NFL after he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings in 2006.
In other training camp news, there are plenty of position battles that Jags fans will want to keep an eye on during the preseason. Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country has a video report of who he thinks will be starting for the team come Week 1.
