Jaguars Offense Struggled Due To Pass Rush And Coverage

Stay connected for news and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars were stifled by the Houston Texans' defense on Sunday and managed to amass just 117 total yards. When asked whether the poor performance was the result of Houston's pressure or its coverage, Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said it was a bit of both. "I think it was a combination of the two. It was very good, we couldn’t hold on to it obviously, and well-covered," Mularkey replied.

Whatever the case, it was a forgettable performance for the Jaguars, who head into Week 3 at 0-2. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert completed just seven of 19 pass attempts against the Texans before leaving the game with what appears to have been a minor injury.
