Jaguars Injury Report: Justin Blackmon Limited

Stay connected for news and updates

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon was limited by an ankle injury in Wednesday's practice according to the team's Twitter page. It's a new injury for Blackmon as he prepares for his first NFL game. The Jaguars travel to Minnesota Sunday to take on the Vikings. The injury's extent is unclear at this point, but there doesn't appear to be a threat that Blackmon will sit out against Minnesota.

The Jaguars drafted Blackmon out of Oklahoma State with the fifth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He racked up 10 catches for 136 yards and one touchdown in the preseason. Blackmon is a former Big 12 offensive player of the year, a Biletnikoff winner, and Fiesta Bowl offensive MVP.

Following a preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey praised Blackmon's effort. "I thought he played well again," Mularkey said. "He made the catches. We need more guys doing what he's doing."
