The Miami Dolphins didn't dictate the game on Sunday, but the Dolphins came away with the win over the St. Louis Rams.

The Miami Dolphins have been on the losing end of games when they've outplayed their opponents.

In Week 6, you can safely argue that the St. Louis Rams outplayed the Dolphins -- but this time, the Dolphins were the outplayed team coming away with the win.

Kevin Nogle over at The Phinside, SB Nation's Miami Dolphins blog, highlighted Miami's issues on Sunday -- but, as you'd expect, is pleased that the Dolphins came away with the win.

The Dolphins came into the game with the number one ranked rush defense, but were gouged for 162 yards on the ground today.

St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 315 yards on 26-for-39 attempts, a 91.3 passer rating. Bradford also ran for one touchdown.

The Dolphins failed to reach 200 yards (192) while giving up 462 yards this week, but in the end the win went to the Dolphins.

No, those aren't the numbers you want to see opposing teams put up on the Dolphins, but the Dolphins made the plays when they needed to make them, and came away with the win.

Miami's win, coupled with New England's loss to Seattle, creates a four-way tie atop the AFC East. The Dolphins, Jets, Bills and Patriots are all 3-3 headed into Week 7.

Certainly, if the Dolphins are going to compete for the AFC East crown, they'll need to play better than they did on Sunday.
