NFL Free Agency: Peyton Manning Meets With Dolphins Coach Joe Philbin, According To Report

The Miami Dolphins were expected to meet with free agent quarterback Peyton Manning on Monday, and it sounds like both sides were engrossed in conversation for much of the day. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and other staff members met with Manning in Indianapolis for five or six hours. Many were awaiting Manning's arrival in South Florida, but instead, the Dolphins went to him and held the meeting away from the team facilities.

Via @MortReport:

While the Broncos and Cardinals emerged this week as favorites to land Manning, the Dolphins and Titans were still on the schedule to meet the the Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Miami has long been rumored as a potential landing spot for Manning, with Fins owner Stephen Ross desperate to sign him.
