Former Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, CA according to a report.

Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Junior Seau was found dead at the age of 43 in his home on Wednesday, according to a report by TMZ. If the reports are true, Seau leaves behind three children and his ex-wife. Police responded to gunshots at the Seau household at around 10 a.m. PT and blocked off the road leading to Seau's house, according to a report by Channel 10 News in San Diego.

Seau played his college football at the University of Southern California and was a first round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in the 1990 NFL Draft. Seau spent the first 13 season of his career with the Chargers, making 12 Pro Bowl appearances and 6 NFL All-Pro teams. During his time with the Chargers, Seau was widely regarded as one of the best linebackers in the entire league.

Seau left the Chargers after the 2002 season and spent the next three seasons with the Miami Dolphins before finishing his career with the New England Patriots and retiring after the 2009 NFL Season.
