Miami Dolphins' OTAs have begun. How has first round draft pick Ryan Tannehill looked early on in the offseason workouts?
Day one of OTAs was many people's first chance to see Ryan Tannehill as an NFL quarterback. Unfortunately, he appeared to struggle for much of the session as recently signed quarterback David Garrard was the more impressive of the two quarterbacks according to reports from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
I've consulted with the jury, and we're giving today's OTA session to David Garrard. Decision making is quick. Tannehill is slow.
This is not too much of a surprise as many people thought that Tannehill was going to have to adjust, having only played 20 games at quarterback in his entire career. It was not a total bust of a session as he did make at least one good pass.
Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill threw one great pass during practice. It was a well timed slant. Guess who the receiver was? Jeff Fuller.
The progression of Tannehill is the one thing that Dolphins fans will keep a close eye on throughout training camp and the preseason.
