Ryan Tannehill Says Reggie Bush Is Important To Dolphins Offense

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill struggled in his first career NFL game last Sunday. If he is going to lead the Dolphins to victory, he might need the help of running back Reggie Bush. Tannehill loves having a player like Bush on his team because of his playmaking ability:

Reggie's a dynamic player. He can do a lot of things. One of the most athletic guys I've ever played with. He's a guy that we can put in space, has great hands, able to run some routes. If we get into a five-wide set or have him just check down, a simple check down out of the backfield. He's a good resource there.

In the week one loss against the Houston Texans, Bush touched the ball 20 times and gained 115 all purpose yards. While he did fumble one ball, the Dolphins did not lose possession. Tannehill knows that Bush can run between the tackles, despite being more known for his shiftiness and speed:

At running back, he's able to make good cuts in the backfield, hit the holes hard and I think people generally think of him as an outside guy, shifty guy, but when it's tough yards, h sticks his head in there and gets as much as he can. It's the NFL.

The Dolphins play the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS.
