Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt missed the entire preseason with an injured elbow, but it appears he will be available as the Texans open the season against the Miami Dolphins. As a rookie last season, Watt had 5.5 sacks and 56 tackles. His playoff performance against Baltimore was even bigger, as he had 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks in a 20-13 loss to the Ravens:
"I’ll feel really good (Sunday against Miami). I think I’ll be 100 percent. Had my first full-padded practice today. It felt really good. I’m really excited about it. It doesn’t really feel like it’s going to hinder me at all."
Watt will be going after Ryan Tannehill, who is making his first NFL start at quarterback for the Dolphins.
