The Miami Dolphins are leading the Houston Texans after one quarter on a 39-yard Dan Carpenter field goal.

The Dolphins took the lead on their second drive of the game, the second drive in the career of rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. After a Houston missed field goal—Shayne Graham missed from 52 yards, Miami took over at its own 42-yard line. Tannehill led the Dolphins into the red zone and as close as the Houston 14-yard line.

But on a third-and-two play, Reggie Bush fumbled. Miami tackle Jonathan Martin recovered at the 21, setting up the Carpenter field goal.

In the first quarter, Tannehill was 5 of 6 for 36 yards.

Houston running back Arian Foster, who was listed as questionable with a knee injury, had four carries for 20 yards. He was also targeted for one pass, but it fell incomplete.
