The Florida NBA teams both hosted the Jazz over the weekend, with Utah coming out of the back-to-back 1-1.
The Utah Jazz were in town over the weekend, taking the Florida trip to face both the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat. The Heat made the Jazz's welcome not all that comfortable, but the next night Utah was able to salvage a Florida split with a victory over the Magic. The Jazz escaped with an above-.500 record after entering on the edge of it to begin the weekend.
Saturday, Dec. 22
Miami Heat 105 vs. Utah Jazz 89
The Heat won their fourth straight game behind LeBron James's 30 points and a big open to the second half. After ending the first half up by four points, the Heat went on a 22-9 run to open the second half to put the game away early.
Sunday, Dec. 23
Utah Jazz 97 vs. Orlando Magic 93
The Jazz captured their fifth consecutive victory over the Magic with a come-from-behind victory. The Magic got out to a quick, 12-point lead, but it was the Jazz's stellar second and fourth quarters that put the game away.
