The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic will be trying to bounce back from losses when they next take the court.

The Orlando Magic fell 87-81 to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, dropping their record to 7-11. Orlando was coming off a 102-94 win over Golden State on Monday. The Magic are fourth in the Southeast Division, a half game behind third-place Charlotte, who also lost on Wednesday night.

The Miami Heat lost 105-101 to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, though they remain in control of the Southeast at 12-4 overall. The Heat have won seven of their last 10 games.

In other NBA action over the last few days, the Los Angeles Clippers edged Utah, 105-104, on Monday; Oklahoma City picked up a 117-111 road win over Brooklyn Tuesday; Houston topped the struggling Lakers, 107-105, on Tuesday; and the New York Knicks beat Charlotte at the buzzer Wednesday, 100-98.

The Heat return to action Thursday night when they host the Knicks in a battle of first-place teams. The Magic face Sacramento on Friday.
