The Miami Heat forward had a big November and he was recognized for his efforts by the NBA on Thursday.

Miami Heat forward LeBron James is the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for November. Among Eastern Conference players, James ranked in the top 10 in several statistical categories and he scored at least 20 points in all 14 Heat games during the month.

He averaged 25 points, 8.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game in November and shot 53.3 percent from the field.

With James strong play pacing Miami, the Heat are off to a 12-4 start to the regular season and lead the Southeast Division by 1.5 games over Atlanta. The Heat don't have the best record in the East, but they can change that when they take on the New York Knicks (13-4) on Thursday night.

This isn't the only honor James has received recently, as he was named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year on Monday. James accepted the award during a ceremony in New York on Wednesday.
