2013 NBA All-Star Weekend: Heat will be well represented

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The stars of the NBA are on their way to Houston for All-Star Weekend and the Miami Heat will be well represented.

NBA All-Star Weekend has arrived and as all of the best of the NBA head to Houston, the Miami Heat will be well represented.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade will both start for the Eastern Conference while Chris Bosh will join the team as a reserve. As if that wasn't enough, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra will coach the Eastern Conference. Sunday's All-Star Game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TNT. James and Wade have combined to win three All-Star MVP awards in their careers.

While the All-Star Game may be the marquee event of the weekend, it is just one part of a busy schedule. Some of the league's young stars will be on display in Friday's Rising Stars Challenge. As is always the case, there will be plenty of action on Saturday as part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night. The Shooting Stars challenge kicks off the night at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Skills Challenge is next up with the three-point contest and slam dunk contest rounding out the night. James Jones participated in the three-point contest each of the last two seasons, but will not compete this season.
