Perhaps inspired by star Chris Webber telecasting the game on NBA TV's fan night, the Sacramento Kings came out the gates much faster than the Miami Heat anticipated. The Heat, winners of their last six games, are still managing to maintain a lead over the Sacramento Kings 57-33 at halftime of Tuesday night's game.
Dwyane Wade continues to dominate the first half of games, leading all Heat players with 17 points and 4 assists. Wade is 7 for 9 in the half and has had several fast break opportunities with LeBron James. LeBron has 8 points in the half but more importantly 6 assists for the Heat; many of the dishes going out to Mario Chalmers who has 11 points and has made 3 of 5 3-point shots in the half.
The Kings came out strong to start the game, hoping to end the Heat's recent hot streak. Led by the strong play of Marcus Thornton (17 points) and Jason Thompson (10 points, 6 rebounds), the Kings have out-rebounded the Heat by 9 in the half, including 10 offensive rebounds.
