The Heat visit the surprising 76ers in Philadelphia tonight. Can the Heat overcome their recent road woes and take down Doug Collins' overachievers?

The Miami Heat will be visiting the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia tonight. This will be the second of four meetings between the two this season, and the first of two in Pennsylvania. The Heat are 6-4 on the road, while the 76ers have a 12-2 home record. For Miami, this is the second game of a short two game roadtrip. They lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, 105-97 on Thursday, and return home to face the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. The 76ers are playing in the final game of a seven game homestand, in which they lost to the New Jersey Nets in overtime and posted victories against the Washington Wizards, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Detroit Pistons, the Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bulls, going 5-1 thus far.

Philadelphia lost to Miami 113-92 just 11 days ago. Chris Bosh led the Heat with 30 points and seven rebounds as LeBron James scored 28 with nine boards, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Mario Chalmers dished out eight dimes and Udonis Haslem grabbed 10 rebounds. The 76ers were paced by Louis Williams' 22 points off the bench. Miami came into the game with a 5-0 record without Dwyane Wade in the lineup, resulting in some saying the Heat may be a better team without him. This caused Erik Spoelstra to quip,

"The more I hear something like that it just becomes officially the theatre of the absurd."

Miami dropped their last matchup, 105-97 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. LeBron James scored 40, including 24 in the first period, adding eight rebounds and five assists. It wasn't enough as the Bucks outscored the Heat 82-57 over the last three quarters. Dwyane Wade pitched in for the Heat with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The Bucks featured five players in double figures, led by 31 points, eight assists and four steals by Brandon Jennings. When asked about the challenges of stopping James and Wade, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had this to say,
"I think it's good for us when they try to go one-on-one. The other part of that, though, is that they're very, very good players and you can get exposed that way. But the good thing is when you're able to stop them it gets the other guys around them frustrated and it slows down their momentum."

The Sixers beat the Chicago Bulls, 98-82 on Wednesday. Andre Igoudala and Thaddeus Young each scored 19 for Philadelphia, Jrue Holiday scored 17, Lavoy Allen pitched in 15 and Louis Williams added 14 for the surprising 76ers. The Bulls were led by 20 from CJ Watson off the bench, while reigning MVP Derrick Rose added 18 with six assists in a losing effort. The Bulls were outscored 26-11 in the third quarter, causing Tom Thibodeaux to understate,

"Our defense wasn't good. I thought our reaction to the ball was very poor."
