College Football Injury Report: Miami RB Eduardo Clements out for season

Miami's Eduardo Clements' injury is the only one to affect the region's college football for the upcoming week.

The Miami Hurricanes announced on the sly that junior reserve running back Eduardo Clements will be out for the rest of the season with an undisclosed injury, and he is the most significant injury to Miami's depth chart as it prepares to play the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday.

The Hurricanes' athletics department made the announcement buried in the second paragraph of the otherwise nondescript weekly depth chart release. Clements has been used sparingly as a junior; he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns with appearances in seven games.

The Hurricanes were off this weekend, and no other injuries were announced. Virginia Tech played the Clemson Tigers on Oct. 20, and no injuries have been announced since.

The Florida Gators made it out of a 17-9 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs without suffering any major injuries. The Gators play the Missouri Tigers this week.

Missouri senior cornerback Kip Edwards suffered an undisclosed neck injury in the second half Saturday against the Kentucky Wildcats, and he did not return. His status has not yet been updated.
