Miami WR Rashawn Scott suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules

Hurricanes' second-leading receiver Rashawn Scott has been suspended for a violation of team rules.

The Miami Hurricanes will be without Rashawn Scott for Saturday's game against the Virginia Cavaliers due to a violation of team rules. It's unclear how long Scott will be suspended for, but it has been announced that the suspension is indefinite.

Scott is the second-leading receiver on the Hurricanes, hauling in 35 passes for 512 yards and three touchdowns. The 6'2 native of Melbourne, Fla. has shown an ability to make the big play and will undoubtedly be missed for however long he's out.

The sophomore had his best game of the year back on Sept. 29 against the North Carolina State Wolfpack, when he caught six passes for 180 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. It's the only game of 2012 in which Scott amassed more than 100 receiving yards.

Scott is the second player to be suspended for the Virginia game after linebacker Eddie Johnson was ruled out of the contest by the school.
