The Miami Marlins have now lost eight of their last nine after dropping a game to the Philadelphia Phillies, 9-5, on Saturday. Ricky Nolasco gave up five runs on nine hits in five innings while being saddled with the loss. Roy Halladay wasn't particularly sharp either (five innings, six hits, four runs, seven strikeouts), but was good enough to pick up the win.

The Marlins actually jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Giancarlo Stanton and Rob Brantly each had RBI singles, but the offense wasn't able to keep pace with a six-run burst between the fifth and eighth inning by Philadelphia. Stanton added his 36th home run of the year in the third inning.

Chase Utley had three RBIs, and Carlos Ruiz and Pete Orr added two each. The Phillies were able to cobble together 15 hits against seven different pitchers, nine of which were off Nolasco.

The Marlins will look to take the rubber game on Sunday. First pitch is 1:10 p.m. ET.
