The Miami Marlins picked up a 6-2 win in the first game of the three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies and will have Josh Johnson square off against Roy Halladay on Wednesday evening.
While the focus of the Miami Marlins has been on skipper Ozzie Guillen and the comments he made, he's now been suspended and the Marlins still have some games to play. Miami is in the middle of a three-game series with the Philadelphia Philles after winning the first meeting on Monday 6-2. The Marlins will bring out their ace, Josh Johnson, who had a tough first start on opening day against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Phillies are off to a worrisome 1-3 start, lacking some power bats in their lineup but they will be trotting out Roy Halladay to the mound. Halladay was masterful in his first start of the season and Philadelphia will need him to hold down the Marlins bats and keep the game close as the Phillies offense struggles to plate runs.
Starting Pitchers:
Miami: Johnson (0-1, 4.50 ERA)
Philadelphia: Halladay (1-0, 0.00 ERA)
Game Time: 7 PM ET, April 11, 2012
Location: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
TV: CSN, FOX FLORIDA
