Marlins Vs. Phillies Score Update: Josh Johnson Helps His Own Cause, Miami Up 1-0

Stay connected for news and updates

The Miami Marlins are taking on the Philadelphia Phillies in the second game of a three-game series. The Marlins have already picked up a win in the first game and are currently holding on to a 1-0 lead early in the matchup. Marlins ace Josh Johnson has limited the Phillies to just two hits through two innings and even knocked in the team's only run so far.

In the bottom of the first inning, Johnson hit a fielder's choice allowing Omar Infante to score from third base, giving the Marlins the lead. Johnson worked out of a bit of trouble in the bottom of the second, getting Freddy Galvis to ground out to end the inning with Shane Victorino sitting on third base.
