Pirates Vs. Marlins: Miami Trying to Even Series In Pittsburgh

Stay connected for news and updates

The Miami Marlins lost their first game of the series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night, and they'll have a pretty good chance to bounce back when they send what should be their best pitcher to the mound on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm and you can find the game on Fox Sports Florida.

This would seem like a pretty good time for Josh Johnson to get his first win of the year. Normally I wouldn't think anything of an 0-3 record because there are a lot of other factors that are taken into a pitcher's record, but Johnson's ERA of 5.87 shows that his winless record is not a fluke. Johnson is supposed to be the ace of this staff and they can only play up to their ability if Johnson is at his best. The Pirates aren't a great offensive team, and Johnson might be able to get back on track here.
