Marlins Vs. Padres Final Score: Miami Takes Series Finale, 6-3

After a very slow start, the Miami Marlins were able to get their offense going and pull out a 6-3 win against the San Diego Padres Sunday afternoon.

Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco was solid on the mound, going seven innings and allowing just five hits and two earned runs while striking out three.

The Marlins, trailing 2-0 after five innings, were able to tie the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a fielder's choice from Hanley Ramirez and an RBI triple by Logan Morrison.

The Marlins broke the deadlock in the top of the eighth when Giancarlo Stanton walked with the bases loaded. A couple of passed balls and an RBI single by Gabby Sanchez brought the score to 6-2.

The Padres cut the deficit to 6-3 in the bottom of the eighth when Yonder Alonso put in an RBI groundout. Edward Mujica was able to come in the ninth to pick up his second save of the year for the Marlins.

Miami's next game will be Monday night in Houston against the Astros.
