Marlins Vs. Red Sox Recap: Boston Completes Sweep At Fenway

The Miami Marlins woes continued on Thursday night as the Red Sox completed their sweep of the Fish with a 6-5 win. It was the fourth straight loss for Ozzie Guillen's club, whose season has hit a big speed bump during June against the AL East. This one was especially frustrating as the Sox put together a three-run rally in the eighth inning to come from behind. Edward Mujica gave up the rally as it all caved it in on the Marlins. A Will Middlebrooks bomb to center that traveled nearly 450 feet evened things up and then Daniel Nava singled home Ryan Kalish to put the Sox ahead for good.

The Marlins offense put together a three-run first inning off Daisuke Matsuzaka to take an early lead. Greg Dobbs had a two-RBI single and Omar Infante knocked in Dobbs. After a Giancarlo Stanton homer, Infante would knock in Dobbs again in the sixth to put the Marlins ahed 5-3. But it would all come undone in the bottom of the eighth.
