The Marlins look to avoid last place in the NL East in a three game series with the Phillies that will round out a terrible month of June for Miami.

During a three game series with the Phillies, the month of June will finally, mercifully come to an end for the Marlins. With a 6-18 record in the month, the Marlins watched as their record flipped from seven games over .500 to five games under the mark and just a half a game out of last place in the NL East.

Starting game one of the series for the Marlins will be Josh Johnson, a victim of little run support in the month of June. In four starts, Johnson has allowed just six combined earned runs and dropped his ERA from 4.56 to 3.96, but earned only one win and two losses due to just six combined runs scored by the Marlins in the four games.

If the Marlins hope to score runs in Friday's game they'll have to do so against Cliff Lee who is still winless in 2012 after 12 starts. In his last start, Lee allowed six hits and five earned runs in seven innings to earn his fourth loss of the year.

The first pitch on Friday will be thrown at 7:10 p.m. ET at Marlins Park and will be televised on WB 17 and Fox Sports Florida.
