The Miami Marlins are looking to end a five game losing streak against the Atlanta Braves on Monday. Can Josh Johnson rebound from his recent rough starts?

The Miami Marlins are looking for anything positive to go their way. Having lost five in a row entering Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves, the Marlins are trying everything they can to get back in the hunt for a playoff spot. They start a stretch of seven games against the Braves in the next 10 days.

The Marlins hope that pitcher Josh Johnson (5-7, 4.35 ERA) can rebound from his substandard performances in July. In this month, he went 0-2 with a 7.56 ERA after allowing only seven earned runs in five outings in June. In his last start on July 18 against the Chicago Cubs, Johnson went six and one-thirds innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out five batters in a loss.

The Braves, coming off a split of a four game series against the first place Washington Nationals, will send Mike Minor (5-6, 5.69) to the hill. In his last start, Minor received a no-decision after pitching six innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven.

The game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. start from Marlins Park. Television coverage will be provided by Fox Sports Florida. Radio coverage will be provided by WAXY 790 AM and WAQI 710 AM.
