2012 MLB Trade Deadline: Carlos Lee May Be Put On Waivers If Not Traded, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The Miami Marlins are trying to move Carlos Lee one way or another. With the non-waiver trade deadline fast approaching, the Marlins are trying to figure out what to do with Lee. A tweet by USA Today baseball writer Bob Nightengale says that the Marlins could put Lee on waivers after the deadline.

This move would still give the Marlins an opportunity to trade Lee to another team even after the trade deadline. The Marlins' season has faltered, so they are looking for any way to help themselves going forward next season.
