Ricky Nolasco pitched a complete game and held the streaking Colorado Rockies to just one run through five innings, but it wasn't enough for the Marlins as they lost 5-3, dropping their fourth game in five days.
Nolasco took the mound Thursday after the Marlins stopped their three-game losing streak by topping the Philadelphia Phillies 9-2 on Wednesday. The Marlins looked to be on their way to another victory after taking a 3-1 lead after the top of the sixth inning, but Michael Cuddyer's two-run blast to left field tied the game in the bottom of the frame.
The Rockies took the lead for good in the seventh on the strength of a Josh Rutledge triple.
