Marlins Vs. Diamondbacks Recap: Stanton, Miami Win 6-5 In 10th

Stay connected for news and updates

After coming from behind to tie Tuesday night's game in the sixth inning, the Marlins took the lead for the first time in the top of the 10th, and went on to win 6-5.

Gorkys Hernandez scored on a Giancarlo Stanton single to put Miami in front during the first inning of extras. This came after Hernandez legged out an infield single.

Said manager Ozzie Guillen, "That is the reason I love speed. Anything can happen and speed never goes into a slump."

Stanton has been red hot lately, with multiple hits in five of his last seven games. During that span he's jacked five home runs and batted in 11 runs.

Ricky Nolasco was shaky for his second start in a row, but the Marlins' bullpen kept things close, generating five scoreless innings after Nolasco left.
