The Miami Marlins open a three-game series with the New York Mets on Tuesday night. Shortstop Jose Reyes is looking to extend his hitting streak to 26 games.

The Miami Marlins are looking for positives towards the end of this season and shortstop Jose Reyes is providing that, with a 25-game hitting streak. During this streak, Reyes has been hitting .371 while scoring 18 runs.

The Marlins hope that offense continues as they send pitcher Wade LeBlanc to the mound. In his last appearance, his first start against the Atlanta Braves on August 1, LeBlanc lasted four and one-thirds innings, allowing one run on five hits in a 4-1 victory over the Braves.

The New York Mets, losers of seven in-a-row at Citi Field, will counter with pitcher Jonathon Niese (8-5, 3.72 ERA). In his last start against the San Francisco Giants on August 1, Niese pitched seven innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five.

The game is set for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Florida. Radio coverage will be provided by WAXY 790 AM and WAQI 710 AM.
