Marlins Vs. Braves: Miami Has No Answer For Kris Medlin, Loses 3-0

Stay connected for news and updates

The Miami Marlins lost Game 3 of their series with the Atlanta Braves, 3-0, going 1-2 in the series. Miami had no answer for Braves starter Kris Medlen, who gave up only four hits in eight innings while striking out six.

Josh Johnson started for Miami, going six innings while giving up three runs on five hits. The bullpen held Atlanta scoreless for the remainder of the game, but that wasn't much help with the Marlins' bats silent.

Miami did manage a few baserunners once Craig Kimbrel came in for Medlen. Men on second and third with two out was as far as they got before Rob Brantly ended the game on a ground out.

The Marlins have a day off on Thursday, and on Friday they face the New York Mets in the start of a two-city road trip that will finish with more games against the Braves.
